Collection: Classic Vintage Racers

The classic vintage racers are the kits that made Tamiya legendary in the 1980s and 1990s. Hornet, Frog, Hotshot, Avante, Top Force, Boomerang — these are the names that defined a generation of RC builders, and they're now back as faithful re-releases.

This collection brings together Tamiya's classic-era race buggies as they're currently in production — many of them limited-run anniversary editions and black-special collector pieces. If you grew up with Tamiya in the 80s, half this collection will hit you in the chest. If you didn't, it's the best possible introduction to where modern RC came from.

Every kit is genuine Tamiya, stocked in Lower Hutt, and shipped nationwide across Aotearoa. We're collectors ourselves, so we know which re-releases are most accurate, which paint schemes hold value, and which platforms are still raceable today.
